Quick Answers

Do I need a boating license to rent in the Abacos?

Most rental companies in the Bahamas don't require a license, but they do require a safety briefing. That said, the waters can be tricky — this is exactly where having Matt onboard makes all the difference.

How do we get to the Abacos?

Most visitors fly into Marsh Harbour (MHH) or Treasure Cay (TCB). Direct or one-stop flights from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, and other major East Coast cities. Usually a 1–2 hour flight from South Florida.

What's a realistic budget for an Abaco trip?

Highly dependent on group size and duration. Cottage + boat rentals are the biggest costs. Matt can give you a realistic breakdown once you share your group size and dates — no guesswork.

Do US citizens need a passport?

Yes — a valid US passport is required to enter the Bahamas. Make sure yours isn't expiring within 6 months of your travel date.
